This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no third-party content (no external fonts, scripts or videos). The Wakewisp app stores its data on your Mac; Apple handles the trial and purchase through the App Store.

Hosting and server logs
This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages; name resolution (DNS) for wakewisp.ch also runs through Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When the site is accessed, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested address and browser identifier in order to deliver the site quickly and securely and to protect it against attacks. This data is not combined with other data and is not used for advertising.
Cloudflare operates data centers worldwide, so data may also be transferred to the USA. According to Cloudflare, it is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally uses standard contractual clauses. More in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Browser storage
If you change the website’s language or confirm the privacy notice with “OK”, this is saved in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie). This information never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.
The Wakewisp app
Wakewisp runs no servers of its own and contains no analytics or advertising services. Settings and history (awake time, number of movements and sessions) are stored only locally on your Mac. Wakewisp uses the Accessibility permission solely to generate mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and key presses – input is neither read nor stored. To detect inactivity, the app only asks the system how long ago the last input occurred.
Trial and purchase
The trial (an in-app purchase at €0) and the full version are processed through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the necessary data under its own privacy policy; we receive no payment details and no Apple Account. So that the trial doesn’t restart after reinstalling, the app also stores the start date in your Mac’s keychain. This information never leaves your device.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. To do so, contact the controller named above.
